Humility and courtesy makes us great. Pride, vanity, arrogance and haughtiness brings us nothing but shame and humiliation. All the great people of the world demonstrated their worthiness and appreciable qualities like humility, courtesy, honesty, perseverance and their unshakable faith in Almighty God.

A flawless and impeccable character with purity, sincerity and a tenacity of purpose enables us to reach the heights of greatness. Our spotless character is our armor. It defends and shields us against all odds. We make progress and defeat our enemies on the strength of our good character and purity of intentions.

Great people are not those who make others feel small, but true greats are those who make others feel great. Love for fellow-beings is indeed a very important trait in the personality of great people. Our heart is free from any kind ill-will, bias, prejudice, rancor and vanity.

All the prophets showed their supreme and unsurpassable qualities to be truly called great. They faced difficult problems, humiliations, trouble, persecution and torture on their way to preach the truth. Self-sacrifice was the hallmark of their personality, which really made them great for our time. The moral and ethical values are, unfortunately and regrettably, on decline in this age of restlessness and anxiety. It is because of our unnecessary and excessive attachment and absorptions in worldly affairs, being tempted and lured by the guiles and deceptions of this deceptive world. Given this scenario, the demonstration of moral and ethical qualities in
one’s life will go a long way to help us become great. We are supposed to shun all negative ideas and pessimism. We are supposed to focus on promoting equality, brotherhood, harmony and help truth prevail. We shouldn’t hesitate uplifting and upholding the truth despite the tough challenges we face.

We have been endowed with supreme qualities by God. Now, it is up to us how we are going to use these wonderful qualities and be successful. True greatness does not come from showing-off  knowledge and wealth. In fact, greatness is directly proportional to good character, humility, courtesy, hard work, and love. A love relationship with God is the ingredient for a man to achieve greatness in this world. It is indeed a sure way to success in both this world and the Hereafter.
